Day 01 to Beijing (D)
Arrive in Beijing Capital International Airport. Met at airport by local tour guide and transferred to your hotel.
Afternoon tour to Temple of Heaven, an exquisite example of Ming architecture served as an exclusive altar for Chinese emperors during the Ming and Qing dynasties
Dinner in local restaurant.
After dinner, transfer back to your hotel.
Overnight in Beijing.
Day 02 Beijing (B L D)
Breakfast in hotel.
Morning tour to Tiananmen Square, the biggest square in the world, and Forbidden City, the complex of Imperial Palaces which were home to the Emperors for over 500 years.
Lunch in local restaurant.
Afternoon tour to Summer Palace, where the Emperors went to escape the heat of the city in Summer.
Peking Roast Duck.
After dinner, Acrobatic Show (19:15-20:30).
Transfer back to your hotel.
Overnight in Beijing.
Day 03 Beijing (B L D)
Breakfast in hotel.
Morning tour to Great Wall at Badaling, the best preserved part of the Great Wall which is a magnificent construction project in ancient china and one of the great wonders in the history of human civilization (around 65km away from the city centre and about 1.5 hours’ driving).
Lunch at Jindian Friendship restaurant.
Afternoon tour to Changling of the Ming Tombs, the biggest wood-made and best preserved palace of the 13 Ming Tombs
Transfer back to the city for dinner in local restaurant.
Overnight in Beijing.
Day 04 Beijing/Xi’an (B L)
Breakfast in hotel.
Morning tour to Hutong, a labyrinth of old narrow streets lined with ancient courtyard houses giving us a glimpse into the traditional and colourful life of Beijing residents.
Lunch in local family’s house.
Afternoon tour to Lama Temple, the largest Tibetan style Buddhism temple
Airport transfer for your flight HU7237 (18:00-19:40) for Xi’an.
Dinner on board.
Arrive in Xi’an Xianyang Airport. Met at airport by local tour guide and transferred to your hotel.
Overnight in Xi’an.
Day 05 Xi’an (B L D)
Breakfast in hotel.
Morning tour to Terracotta Army Museum, a vast Terracotta Army - 7000 life sized figures individually crafted and complete with chariots and horses (around 38km away from the city)
Lunch in local restaurant.
Back to the city, we will visit the City Wall, the most complete city wall that has survived in China, as well being one of the largest ancient military defensive systems in the world.
Dinner in local restaurant.
After dinner, transfer back to your hotel.
Overnight in Xi’an.
Day 06 Xi’an/Chongqing (B L)
Breakfast in hotel.
Morning tour to Big Goose Pagoda, which was built to store sutras and statues brought from India by Xuan Zang in Tang Dynasty, and Shaanxi Provincial History Museum which houses a large collection of 113,000 historic and cultural artefacts unearthed in Shaanxi
Lunch in local restaurant.
Afternoon tour to Forest of Stone Steles Museum which holds 3,000 stone steles of different periods from the Han Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty
Take the late afternoon flight for Chongqing. About 1 hour on board.
Airport pickup upon arrival. After dinner, transfer to the Yangtze River Cruise Ship. Now your Yangtze River cruise begins.
Overnight on Board.
Day 07 Yangtze River Cruise (B L D)
Three meals on board;
Shore excursion to Shibaozhai Pagoda or Fengdu - the Ghost City (optional)
Pass Qutang Gorge.
Overnight on board.
Day 08 Yangtze River Cruise (B L D)
Three meals on board;
Pass Wu Gorge.
Boat excursion to Shennong Stream;
Sail through five-stage shiplock.
Overnight on board.
Day 09 Yichang/Shanghai (B L D)
Breakfast on board.
Shore excursion to the Three Gorges Dam.
Pass Xiling Gorge.
At around 13:00, disembark at Yichang.
Then take the afternoon flight for Shanghai. About 1.5 hours on board.
Airport pickup upon arrival. Transfer to your hotel.
Dinner.
Overnight in Shanghai.
Day 10 Shanghai (B L D)
Breakfast in hotel.
Morning tour to Jade Buddha Temple, a venerable and famous Buddhist temple, and Yu Garden, a representative of the classical architectural style acknowledged as an architectural miracle in the region southeast of the Yangtze River.
Lunch in local restaurant.
Afternoon tour to the Bund, which is a famous waterfront and regarded as the symbol of Shanghai for hundreds of years, and Shanghai Museum, a large museum of ancient Chinese art.
Dinner in local restaurant.
After dinner, transfer back to your hotel.
Overnight in Shanghai.
Day 11 Shanghai (B L D)
Breakfast in hotel.
Morning transfer to Zhujiajiao Water Town, a typical ancient water town in the south of the Yangtze River (one hour of driving from Shanghai downtown).
Lunch in the water town.
Transfer back to Shanghai in the afternoon.
Dinner in local restaurant.
After dinner, transfer back to your hotel.
Overnight in Shanghai.
Day 12 Shanghai/departure (B)
Breakfast in hotel.
Airport transfer for your flight for departure.
